Questa Giulietta Spider è stata professionalmente trasformata in barchetta, sulla falsariga della barchetta che corse a Sebring, circa 30 anni fa, probabilmente da Cappa, il fratello del proprietario della KCA e specialista Lancia. Risparmiare peso è stata una priorità assoluta: le porte, il cofano e il cofano del bagagliaio sono stati sostituiti con elementi in alluminio, mentre le ruote sono in lega di magnesio. Il motore è un?unità di 1.600cc della Giulia TI, probabilmente preparata dal noto specialista Alfa Romeo, Chiapparini. Questa barchetta ha corso in numerose gare a partire dal 1985, conquistando come miglior risultato un più che rispettabile 30° posto assoluto e 13° di classe alla Targa Florio Storica del 1986, dove ha combattuto contro auto come, tra gli altri, Ferrari 250 GTO e 250 TR. L?auto è offerta con documenti di immatricolazione italiani, copia di svariate foto scattate durante alcune delle competizioni a cui ha preso parte ed una copia dei risultati finali della Targa Florio del 1986.

With the introduction of the Giulietta, Alfa Romeo established the 'small car, big performance' formula that would characterise the Milanese marque's finest offerings from then on. First of the Giuliettas, the Bertone-styled Giulietta Sprint Coupé debuted at the Turin Motor Show in April 1954 powered by a 1.3-litre, all-alloy version of Alfa's classic twin-cam four designed by one-time Ferrari engineer, Giuseppe Busso.
The original 750-Series Giulietta Sprint Coupé of 1954 was soon joined by Berlina and Spider versions. Designed and built by Pininfarina and notable as the famous Turin coachbuilder's first volume-produced car, the Spider brought a level of refinement and mechanical sophistication to small sports cars that made the opposition look dated. With such a pedigree the Spider was, not surprisingly, a huge success, becoming mainland Europe's best-selling small sports car and continuing in revised, longer wheelbase form after the introduction of the 101 Series in 1959. The Giulietta family's success surprised even Alfa themselves: production targets were revised upwards and to satisfy demands for increased performance upgraded 'Veloce' versions of the Sprint coupé and Spider convertible were introduced for 1956.
This Giulietta Spider was professionally transformed into a Sebring-style competition barchetta some 30 years ago (it is believed that the car was modified by Cappa, the brother of the owner of renowned Lancia specialists, KCA). Weight saving was a top priority: the doors, bonnet, and boot lid being replaced by items in aluminium, while the wheels are of magnesium alloy. The engine is a 1,600cc Giulia TI unit, believed prepared by well-known Alfa Romeo specialist, Chiapparini. This barchetta has been campaigned in numerous races since 1985, the highlight of which was a more than respectable result at the 1986 Targa Florio Storico, where the car finished 30th overall and 13th in class in an illustrious field that included a Ferrari 250 GTO and 250 TR among others. The car is offered with valid Italian registration documents; copies of photographs taken at various races; and a copy of the results sheet of the aforementioned Targa Florio.
